Pre-reg page down?

Katsucon's pre-registration page is giving a 'Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.' error. Anyone know why? Or when it will be back up? It was available a few weeks ago but now when I actually want to pay reg it's gone :S

at katsucon i purchased a small black tank top with a skull and green ribbon from the dealer that was selling the mt coffinz brand merchandise.. i'm not sure if that was the brand of the shirt.

anyway, i think i may have left it in the artists alley and/or dealers room. i have also e-mailed katsucon security. i will delete the post if they find it.

i'm willing to go to great lengths to get it back. please let me know if you found it!

I did most of my shooting on the gazebo level of the hotel on Saturday afternoon, but there are a number of shots from other locations and a few each from Friday and Sunday.

The photo set is here.

Hey, internet! Yes, you, sitting in front of your computer! Take that finger out of your ass and do something productive for a second by reading and responding to this post.

At Katsucon, I'm hosting a show called "Whose Line is it Anime?" (SATURDAY, 2PM, LIVE 2). and the namesake game is on the line-up for the afternoon. This game requires heavy participation from the audience. The basic idea is that two cast members improvise a scene and are required to pull pre-written lines at random during the course of the scene. Here's a quick video reference:

In the original version, the audience was made to write lines before the show. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we can't have our audience fill out a bunch of papers before the show starts. That said, I've decided to rely on lines from THE INTERNET, even though only 30% of you will attend this show (I hope).

And so, I come to you with but one request:

Do not comment on this community post. Rather, follow the link provided so that you can comment anonymously!

One line per comment. Anonymous commenting is ON, screening is ON. This means that only I will be able to access these comments. The cast members will not know about these lines until they pull 'em out of their pockets.

This is a big experiment on my part, so I need your help to make it happen!

Thanks a ton, guys! Make sure to come and check out the show if you can!

Hope this is okay, mods - if not, I'll gladly change it!

Has anyone ever taken the bus line that goes to the Gaylord? I get pretty spotty reliability with Metrobuses in my part of Maryland, but I'm not sure if I should find different travel arrangements. Not going to be carrying anything big or luggagey, just want to know if it generally comes on time, etc. Thanks!

For those staying at the Hampton inn for Katsucon

I know Katsucon is only over a month away, and I know some who are planning to attend are going to stay at the Hampton Inn because they don't have the $$ up front for a room at the Gaylord. Depending on how far the Hampton Inn is to the Gaylord, could there be a possibility of shuttle service to and from the Gaylord? Especially for those handicapped.

all sorts of fun stuff this year...

This is Andrew, your friendly neighborhood dance coordinator,
i'm coming by to describe a few of the interesting things we
have planned for the dances as well as our new katsu-lounge
and a few genre panels that tie in with that.

Firstly, we've got a crazy plot unfolding regarding the dance
involving the not well-known (actually non-existent til' now)

PROFESSOR GETO has called forth people of all ages and walks of life
to aid the world in defeating the nefarious DOCTOR GRUNGE! You,
everyday citizens of the world, are to become heroic Sentai and team
up to defeat the threatening menace of radioactive giant monsters!
Now, go to the Laboratory and create the heroic uniforms you need to

More about that in here...Collapse )

Secondly, there's the way sweet Katsu-Lounge!
The aim of the Katsu-Lounge is to present a number
of nuanced genres that we can't normally focus on at
the bigger dances. The lights will be dimmed a little, you
can dance a little if you want, but the mood
is definitely laidback. It's also a chance to see the dee-
jaying up close and meet the deejays involved with
moving many different crowds.

Come on in here to learn more...Collapse )

On Friday, you can actually catch all our lounge djs
are presenting some talks/panels on the music that's
playing on Saturday.

More on that in yonder...Collapse )

In short, well I mean if you don't read all the huge
text under the cuts, we've gone and made things much
more interesting this year. It's going to be way
fun for shure! Look for more about these events in
the coming month as we divulge what we've also got in
the works.

Dance Coordinator
